Which means they don't get to work which translates into the industry not getting their workers and going abandon. Just like if you have a road to industry that your citizens experiencing too slow of a flow on, they will despawn as soon as their personal timers comes due. The lack of workers were those trying to move to town but were faced to depsawn from the broken highway.Įdit: excessive depsawning does cause these kind of issues.
Due to lack of influx citizens caused by the disconnected highway your residential demand dropped. Can't speak for the interchange itself but yes your findings do make sense to me. Now that I removed the stack interchange, the problem has gone away completely! Very odd, but wanted to update so people can see the solution and even chime in as to why. I thought it was the 4 lane highways, but even removing them didn't resolve. I removed a stack interchange that, when I put it in earlier in the game, had caused some problems with vehicles despawning where the change was made, such that no vehicles used the highway at all, so it was stagnating.
